Fundstrat forecasts ETH as the top macro trade for the next decade amid rising institutional adoption
Ethereum is emerging as the “biggest macro trade” for the next 10 to 15 years, according to market strategy firm Fundstrat, which has projected an end-of-2025 price target between $12,000 and $15,000. Analysts attribute this outlook to AI-driven blockchain economies and Wall Street’s accelerating shift toward decentralized finance.
Thomas Lee, Fundstrat’s chief information officer, noted that “ETH is arguably the biggest macro trade for the next 10 to 15 years as AI creates a token economy on the blockchain and as Wall Street financializes on the blockchain.” The optimism comes as Ether has already gained 60% in the past 30 days, recently touching $4,770 — just 2.5% below its 2021 peak.
Fundstrat’s head of digital asset research, Sean Farrell, emphasized that Ethereum’s commanding position in the stablecoin and real-world asset (RWA) markets underpins its long-term value. The network currently controls 55% of the $25 billion RWA tokenization sector, with most Wall Street projects and stablecoins being built on Ethereum.
Lee highlighted upcoming stablecoin regulations under the GENIUS Act and the U.S. SEC’s Project Crypto initiative as catalysts for institutional adoption. These developments, he said, could accelerate blockchain integration into traditional finance.

Treasury Accumulation Fueling Supply Squeeze
BitMine Immersion Technologies, chaired by Lee, has become the world’s largest Ethereum treasury, holding 1.2 million ETH worth $5.5 billion after aggressive accumulation since July. The company is targeting a $20 billion raise to expand its holdings, which could remove substantial liquidity from the market.
Crypto analyst Rachael Lucas from BTC Markets explained, “When you combine record ETF inflows with corporate and sovereign balance sheet allocations, the result is deep structural demand meeting finite supply.” She added that this creates “sustained upward pressure on prices” and cements digital assets’ role in global capital markets.
Long-Term Bullish Case
Farrell predicts Ether will surpass $10,000 in the near term, with potential to hit $60,000 in the longer run. With institutional demand, regulatory clarity, and Ethereum’s ecosystem dominance, analysts believe the asset could outperform even Bitcoin over the coming years.
