Strategic Bet on Solana (SOL)
Classover Holdings (KIDZ), a publicly traded online education company, has announced a major shift in its treasury strategy by committing up to $500 million to invest in Solana (SOL). The move underscores the firm’s long-term belief in Solana’s blockchain ecosystem and its role in the future of digital assets.
$500M Deal Backed by Solana Growth Ventures
The investment will be funded through a convertible note agreement with Solana Growth Ventures, which has already launched with an initial $11 million funding round. The notes issued by Classover are senior secured and convertible into Class B shares, with conversion prices set at twice the trading value of KIDZ stock prior to deal closing. This structure also includes built-in price adjustment clauses, providing flexibility based on market movements.
“Classover plans to allocate up to 80% of the net proceeds from the notes toward SOL token purchases,” the company confirmed.
Growing a SOL-Focused Treasury
This announcement comes on the heels of Classover’s earlier acquisition of 6,472 SOL, valued at around $1.05 million, marking the first phase of its Solana accumulation strategy. With the new convertible note agreement in place, Classover intends to build a robust SOL treasury, positioning itself among the growing number of publicly traded companies integrating crypto assets into their financial reserves.
“We are building a Solana-focused treasury to support innovation and long-term growth,” the firm noted in its press release.
Trend Among Corporate Treasuries
Classover is not alone in this approach. Other firms, such as Defi Development Corp., have also begun to significantly increase their holdings of SOL tokens, highlighting a wider trend of institutional interest in Solana. These strategies reflect confidence in Solana’s scalability, low transaction costs, and growing developer ecosystem.
Outlook
With the $500 million deal in motion, Classover is making one of the largest corporate commitments to Solana to date. As the company reallocates capital from traditional reserves to blockchain-based assets, its SOL-focused treasury may become a model for other public companies exploring crypto diversification.
This bold move signals increasing convergence between traditional public firms and blockchain finance, with Solana positioned at the center of this evolution.
