As Ethereum celebrates its 10th anniversary, its growing role as a strategic treasury reserve asset is being recognized by corporations and Wall Street alike.

Launched on July 30, 2015, Ethereum introduced smart contracts and DeFi infrastructure that would reshape the blockchain ecosystem. Today, it continues to operate with 10 years of uninterrupted uptime, solidifying its position in institutional finance.

BitMine Emerges as Largest Corporate ETH Holder

Publicly traded BitMine Immersion Technologies leads the list of corporate ETH holders, owning 625,000 ETH, or 0.52% of total circulating supply. The firm plans to expand its holdings to 5% of Ethereum’s supply, supported by a $1 billion stock repurchase program announced this week.

This marks a strategic shift from mining to long-term digital asset accumulation.

Sharplink, Bit Digital Among Major ETH Treasury Firms

In second place is Sharplink, a Nasdaq-listed company that recently acquired 438,190 ETH, designating it as their primary treasury reserve asset. The purchase, valued at $290 million, was executed between July 21 and July 27 at an average price of $3,756 per ETH.

Bit Digital, previously focused on Bitcoin, transitioned to an Ethereum-first strategy. The company now holds 100,603 ETH, following a $172 million equity raise aimed at converting their balance sheet to Ether.

Ethereum-Based Treasury Strategy Gains Traction

BTCS Inc., an Ethereum validator, holds 70,028 ETH, bolstered by recent capital raises totaling $207 million in 2025. GameSquare Holdings Inc., a tech and media firm, rounds out the top five with 12,913 ETH, part of a $250 million crypto treasury initiative.

Wall Street Firms Turn to Ethereum

According to Bitget’s CEO, Gracy Chen, institutions are increasingly eyeing Ethereum as the next major treasury reserve asset, citing its programmable yield and tokenization potential.

Ethereum treasury firms have acquired over 1% of ETH’s total supply since June, outpacing Bitcoin buyers during the same period.

With this accelerating trend, Standard Chartered projects ETH may surpass $4,000 by year-end, supported by spot ETF inflows and growing corporate adoption.
