Michael Saylor’s company Strategy has added 6,220 BTC to its treasury in the past week, investing $740 million at an average price of $118,940 per coin. This brings the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings to a staggering 607,770 BTC, now worth approximately $72 billion.
Largest Corporate Bitcoin Holder in the World
Strategy’s Bitcoin was acquired at a total cost of $43.6 billion, meaning the firm is currently sitting on over $28 billion in unrealized profit. With Bitcoin trading just above $118,000, the company holds nearly 0.5% of the total BTC supply.
Michael Saylor, the company’s executive chairman, has long championed Bitcoin as digital gold and a superior store of value. His aggressive accumulation strategy has made Strategy the largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally, outpacing even sovereign funds and ETFs.

Funded by $736M in Common Stock Sales
Last week’s purchase was financed primarily through $736.4 million in common stock sales, supplemented by $4 million raised through preferred share offerings. This equity-based funding approach allows Strategy to expand its Bitcoin holdings without taking on debt, aligning with Saylor’s conviction that BTC is a superior treasury asset.
“We are executing our capital strategy to align with our long-term belief in Bitcoin,” the company stated in a release accompanying the purchase.
Bitcoin Strategy Paying Off Big
At an average purchase price of $71,756 per BTC, Strategy’s positioning has proven highly profitable, particularly during 2025’s sustained bull market. The firm has continued to buy in both bearish and bullish conditions, staying consistent with its long-term horizon.
This latest acquisition reflects growing confidence in BTC’s role in global finance, even as traditional markets remain volatile.
A Signal to Institutions?
Strategy’s massive holdings may serve as a benchmark for institutional adoption. As companies and funds explore how to manage reserves in a high-inflation environment, Bitcoin is increasingly viewed as a strategic hedge rather than a speculative asset.
Michael Saylor’s unwavering commitment to Bitcoin has transformed his company into a crypto powerhouse. With over $72 billion in BTC, Strategy continues to shape the narrative around Bitcoin as the future of treasury management.
