Bitcoin’s record-breaking rally continues to draw major institutional buyers, with Strategy securing another $51.4 million worth of BTC despite heightened volatility.
Strategy Expands Bitcoin Holdings
Michael Saylor’s Strategy, already the largest publicly traded holder of Bitcoin, increased its stash by 430 BTC last week. According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the purchase was made at an average price of $119,666 per coin, totaling $51.4 million.
This acquisition pushes Strategy’s total holdings to an unprecedented 629,376 BTC, bought for about $46.15 billion at an average cost of $73,320 per Bitcoin. Despite market turbulence, the company continues to double down on its long-term conviction that Bitcoin remains the ultimate store of value.

Bitcoin Price Action: From New Highs to a Sudden Dip
Bitcoin reached a new all-time high above $124,000 last Wednesday, driven by surging institutional demand and growing acceptance of BTC as a hedge against inflation. However, the rally quickly reversed, with prices dipping to $115,000 by Sunday, highlighting the asset’s notorious volatility.

At the time of reporting, Bitcoin is trading close to $120,000, showing signs of stabilization after the sharp weekend decline.
“Volatility is a Gift to the Faithful”
Amid the rollercoaster price swings, Michael Saylor reinforced his bullish outlook. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he remarked: “Volatility is a gift to the faithful.” His statement reflects the company’s strategy of viewing dips not as setbacks, but as opportunities to accumulate more Bitcoin at attractive prices.
Earlier, Saylor also revealed that Strategy’s holdings briefly touched an all-time valuation of $77.2 billion when Bitcoin peaked at last week’s highs.
Institutional Momentum Driving Bitcoin Adoption
Strategy’s relentless accumulation highlights the institutional momentum behind Bitcoin adoption. With traditional finance firms, ETFs, and corporations increasingly recognizing BTC as a digital reserve asset, the market continues to witness large-scale purchases even during volatile periods.
This trend reinforces Bitcoin’s transformation from a speculative investment into a mainstream financial asset, comparable to gold in its role as a hedge against currency debasement and global uncertainty.
