The Smarter Web Company, a UK-based web design and digital services provider, has made a major leap in the world of corporate bitcoin holdings. On July 16, the company confirmed it purchased an additional 325 BTC worth approximately $36.45 million, bringing its total bitcoin treasury to 1,600 BTC.
This aggressive accumulation places it among the top 25 publicly traded companies holding bitcoin globally.
Aggressive Accumulation Strategy Pays Off
The latest purchase was made at an average price of $112,157 per bitcoin, with total bitcoin holdings now valued at over $190 million at current market prices. With bitcoin trading near $118,850, The Smarter Web Company is already up around 11.3%, or roughly $19.26 million on paper, from its total investment.
The company has acquired over 1,056 BTC in July alone, climbing from 36th to 25th place in just two weeks, according to data from Bitcoin Treasuries. CEO Andrew Webley noted ambitions to reach the top 20 within the month. The current 20th position is held by HIVE Digital with 2,201 BTC.

Pivoting Toward a Bitcoin-Driven Future
While the firm remains active in web design, development, and online marketing, it is rapidly building a reputation for its bitcoin treasury strategy. Since accepting BTC payments in 2023, the company began integrating bitcoin into its balance sheet earlier this year — part of its long-term belief in Bitcoin as a foundational financial asset.
It holds an additional £4 million ($5.36 million) in cash, ensuring financial flexibility.
New Metric: P/BYD Ratio Introduced
In a move signaling its deeper integration into crypto finance, The Smarter Web Company also launched the “P/BYD ratio” — a new metric intended to evaluate bitcoin treasury companies similar to the P/E ratio in traditional equity markets. The tool aims to provide clearer benchmarks for valuing firms that hold bitcoin as a core asset.
Looking Ahead
With its 10-Year Plan centered around client growth, strategic acquisitions, and steady bitcoin accumulation, The Smarter Web Company is positioning itself as a serious long-term player in the evolving financial landscape.
Its rapid rise signals a growing trend among traditional firms pivoting toward bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset — especially in a climate of increasing institutional demand and macroeconomic uncertainty.
